ORIGINAL POEM BY DAVID SICHLER
you bite at the sun
a nymph at dawn
wings mapped with impossible estuaries
to search between the sacred and profane
beyond the brevity of a day
the voracious eye beckons the mayfly
sleep of the fossil
do you envy the cinnamon earth
for the odyssey it grants tomorrow
